All courses are held at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge, unless otherwise stated.
Equity In Your Coaching
Everyone should have access to sport, regardless of gender, age, race, ability, faith or sexual orientation. As a coach, you have an important role to play in ensuring this happens. The workshop will help you to apply and extend your existing skills to meet the needs of present and potential participants.

Developing Partnerships with Clubs & Schools
This workshop aims to develop school and sport organisation partnerships to provide young people with quality opportunities to progress in sports from schools to clubs.
'Developing Partnerships with Clubs and Schools' focuses on two key areas in making the transition and can be tailored to meet the needs of schools and sports organisations.
This workshop will enable schools and sports organisations to:
- Analyse the benefits of developing quality partnerships with sports organisations/a junior sports club.
- List the key factors in creating a sustainable partnership.
- Identify who to involve in developing a partnership/junior club.

Protect yourself, the young people you are coaching and your employer by understanding and following good coaching practice. Learn about child abuse and how to handle situations if you have concerns.

A Club For All
Identifies the benefits of opening up your club, to include a wider membership base. This course is necessary for clubs wishing to achieve Clubmark status.

Introduction to Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD)
Ensures a common understanding of LTAD and its consistent application in the coaching world. Understand key concepts of LTAD and what it means to coaches and their practice.

Emergency First Aid For Sport
This HSE-approved, appointed persons course is designed especially for sports coaches, leaders and officials. learn CPR and how to deal with strains and sprains, breaks and burns, recovery and recuperation.

Planning & Periodisation
This workshop will help the coach to describe the processes involved in effective planning, gather
information on the demands of their sport and the training needs of their performers, explain and apply
the adaptation process, divide the year into training phases of different emphasis, integrate all elements
of performance into individual training programmes and explain the importance of monitoring and
evaluating performance in the context of an overall plan.

Safeguarding
& Protecting Children 2: Reflecting On Practice
The workshop aims to ensure that the learning from the first ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’ workshop is consolidated and updated. It aims to provide a valuable opportunity to build on knowledge gained since the first workshop and share best practice through scenarios and reflection upon the experiences of participants.
This course satisfies the requirements of the UKCC and Clubmark in relation to basic safeguarding and protecting children awareness training, when attended as a ‘refresher’ workshop within three years of attending the first ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’ workshop or an equivalent recognised direct delivery workshop.
